It is the year 2030. An Instagram photo of the heroine being pregnant in 2020, unfolds memories from her experience in quarantine. Ten-year-old Joy and her mother take turns, narrating their experience during the first lockdown, due to the Covid19 pandemic. At times, a wonderful journey to self-awareness and other times, nightmares and terror.

Our character lives in the fascinating world of his imagination where loneliness is a comfort norm. The quarantine doesn't scare him, on the contrary his favourite movie opens a window into a world where new series of events unfold right in front of his eyes.Loneliness lives within us, the trick is to know how to deal with it, or dive into an insidious condition.

‘The box’ is a short film about the beautiful moments that love can give us, if we dare to fight against our Monster-our insecurities and fears- and finally trust and share ourselves with someone who has the same feelings and beliefs. The movie aims to awake the hope for pure love and trustful meaningful relationships to our younger generation who seems to be lost and drugged into a social media and virtual reality.
